R. CLAY 4-ABSENT: COMMISSIONER WAITERS 7_. TRATL'S END TRAILER PARK MR ACKLES OWNER AND MR JOHN FARINA ENGINEER APPEARED BEFORE THE COMMISSIONERS. THERE WAS THEN A LENGTHY DISCUSSION REGARDING SETBACKS, SIDEWALKS AND PERMITS. MR ACKLES EXPLAINED THAT HE HAD JUST PURCHASED THIS TEN FOOT FROM MR CALDER AND THAT HE COULD rIOT GIVE THIS TEN FEET TO THE CITY. HE SAID HE WOULD RECOGNIZE THE TEN FEET SETBACK AND WOULD NOT PUT ANY BUILDINGS ETC IN THIS SETBACK, BUT HE WOULD PUT IN THE SIDEWALKS. COMMISSIONER THORNTON a THEN MADE A MOTION TO ISSUE THE NECESSARY PERMITS, HAVE SIDEWALKS PUT IN THE RIGHT OF WAY OF THE NEW ADDITION TO THE TRAILER PARK AND ACCEPT RECOGNITION OF MR ACKLES STATEMENT ON TEN FOOT SETBACK, THIS WAS SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER JACKSON. ROLL CALL WAS FOUR TO ZERO. 3. FTSHING PIER RESTAURANT O ttR RHODES CAME BEFORE THE COMMISSIONERS AND ASK PERMISSION TO CLOSE THE FISHING PIER RESTAURANT FOR THE PERIOD AUGUST 17TH TO SEPTEMBER 3RD TO ALLOW HIS EMPLOYEES TO TAKE A VACATION. COMMISSIONER THORNTON MADE A MOTION THIS REQUEST BE GRANTED, THIS WAS SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER JACKSON. ROLL CALL WAS FOUR TO ZERO. 4. 1970 - 1971 BUDGET THE COMMISSIONERS THEN WENT THRU EVERY ITEM OF THE GENERAL FUND REVENUE AND THEY REDUCED THE TOTAL REVENUE FOR THE BUDGET BY $10,060 thereby the total revenue WAS CHANGED FROM $1,007,041. to $996,981. THE C014MTSSIONERS THEN DISCUSSED EVERY ITEM IN THE GENERAL FUND EXPENDITURES AND MADE THE FOLLOWING CHANGESt DELETED CHANGED ADDED COMMISSIONER EXPENSES $3,000. CITY MANAGER'S CAR ALLOWANCE - $100 POLICE DEPT ADDED THREE MEN $18,818 ADMCNISTRATIVE BLDG IMPROVEMENTS - $50,637 SANITATION INCINERATOR CONTINGENIES - $2,000 i'UBLIC WGRKS NEW EQUIPMENT $5,500 CONTINGENCIES - $23,359 " FISHING PIER IMPROVEMENTS - $5,000 8,500 - $20,379 $18,818 . T AM,OJINT DEDUCTED $10,060 MAKING THE. TOTAL EXPENDITURES $996,981. WATER FUND WATER FUND REVENUE WAS GONE OVER ITEM FOR ITEM AND NOTHING WAS C?JA"?GED, THE TOTAL REVENUE BEING $197,000. WATER FUND EXPENDITURES WERE GONE OVER ITEM BY ITEM WITH TWO CHANGES MADE AS FOLLOWS: ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENSE DELETE $6,036 EMERGENCY CAPITAL CONT.
