It was then proposed by Commissioner Kelly that the four commissioners
sit down and try to pick out a Police Chief and a City Commissioner,
Commissioner Thornton was to check his schedule and contact commissioner
Kelly regarding a meeting. Mayor Houston made a remark that any respectable
good citizen with a little business ability about them, and willing to dedicate
their time in the behalf of Dania is acceptable to me without me being at the
meeting.
