PENSION AND INSURANCE BOARD
At the Special Meeting of the City Commission on January 22nd, 1969, the
appointment of a new Insurance and Pension Board was discussed and the
following are the names oftthe appointees:
JOHN LASSITER
BOB HOUSTON JR.
JAMES McMILLAN
RICK RICKARD
RAY CHAPMAN
A motion was made by Commissioner Thornton to accept the foregoing appointees
as the new representatives of the Pension and Insurance Board. Commissioner
Waiters seconded the motion. Roll call was made.

CIVIL SERVICE BOARD
1. DONALD ARMAND WELLS was appointed by the City Commissioners to
serve on the Civil Service Board as their representative.
2. CRAIG HINES
JAMES ADAMS
a' CLAUDE CALLOWAY
were appointed by the Commissioners to be voted on by the eligible employees
of the City of Dania, as their representatives .
Commissioner Thornton made a motion that this appointment be accepted.
Commissioner Waiters seconded this motion. Roll call was made.

PICKING OF BIDDERS ON THE FOLLOWING CARS:
1960 4 door Oldsmobile
Beach Buggy
Plymouth 1965
1967 Chevy Wreck
Lincoln
Several bids had been received by various bidders and the highest bidders
were the following:
Vic's Standard Garage, 121 S.E. First Ave.
Dania, Florida, (Invoice No.7546) 1960 4 door Oldsmobile $45.00
Stuart Motors Hollywood Florida (Inv.#7547) 1967 Chevy Wreck $275.00
Millions of Parts, Griffin Rd.
Dania, Florida, (Inv. #7545) Lincoln Car $15.00
Bruno Noble (paid cash Inv. #7548):
Beach Buggy $22.50
1965 Plymouth $226.00 248.50
A Total of: $583.50
Attorney Walden stated: "Let it be put on record that they were surplus cars".

There were no other bids on the Lincoln. The bid on the Lincoln by Millions
of Parts was made on the condition that he gets all the cars or there is no
deal. As his bids on all other cars were lower than those of any other bidders
it was unanimously decided not to accept the bids of Millions of Parts . There-
after Millions of Parts decided to take the Lincoln as quoted, namely for the
sum of $15.00, a cheque for which was received on the 25th as stated.
A Motion was made by Commissioner Waiters to accept the highest bidders on all
cars as aforesaid. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Thornton.
All cars were sold at the amounts quoted on the 25th day of January, 1969,
bringing the total proceeds to $583.50, which amount was deposited into the
City of Dania Account on the 27th day of January, 1969.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
