HomeMy WebLinkAbout31036 - MINUTES - City Commission law M"NUTES OF SPECIAL COMMISSION MEETING DANIA FLORIDA HELD ON D M 1 st, Meeting was called to order at 9:00 A. M. by Mayor Robert E. Houston and the City Clerk called the roll and the following were present. Mayor-Commissioner Robert E. Houston Commissioners Mary Thornhill Joseph Thornton Boisey Waiters City Clerk-Auditor E. R. Clay Absent-Commissioner Robert Kelly Christmas Bonuses Mayor Houston stated that the past few years the City had given bonuses to the City Employees and even though this was not covered in the Budget he thought the Commissioners should do it again this year. 1 to 3 months $5.00 3 to 6 months $10.00 6 months to 1 year $15.00 Over 1 year $25.00 Commissioner Waiters then stated he thought an employee who was here 10 or 15 years was entitled to more than one who was here just over a year. A motion was made by Commissioner Thornhill and seconded by Commissioner Thornton to pay the bonuses as stated by Mayor Houston. A roll call was taken and the motion passed 4 to 0. The ne:ct item of business was a bill from Delegal Paving Contractors Int in the amount of $5,757.81. Commissioner Thornton made a motion to pay the bill as read, this was seconded by Commissioner Waiters. Roll call was taken and the motion to pay the bill passed 4 to D.
