' Mayor Kelly said he would like to take this opportunity to � ng; that thank each and every person who had come to the meets it had been a very pleasant meeting. He asked for any comments from the audience. Mrs. Juanita Austin asked why the Police Department would not het?` take fingerprints except in case of a murder. She went on to say that she had been robbed and when asking the policeman about +R this she was told they did not always take fingerprints. =' She further stated she had heard nothing further about the robbery. Fqj Officer Portelli (who appeared for Chief Parton) said he did <� not know about this matter but they customarily went out and � .. got any information they could including fingerprints on all cases. He said he would check into Mrs. Austin's complaint-. te Commissioner Marant said since this was his last offibial commission meeting he would like to extend his thanks for all the support he had received and asked that everyone there continue to support their Commissioners no matter who was elected. He asked that all the people support their City and State officials.' He said he felt sad about leaving and again expressed his thanks for their support for the past two years.' Commissioner Waiters said ithad been a pleasure working with Commissioner Marant for the past two years and said it would be a great loss to the City of Dania when he left. He pointed out that young men are welcome to politics with their young and progressive ideas: Commissioner Houston said he had nothing to say. Mayor Kelly pointed out that a record had been set for. this meeting since only one tape ,had been used and it was still early. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned•:.
