Acting City Clerk , Mrs. Moore Present
Commissioner Thornton to Mayor Marant. "The roll call should be in
alphabetical order. Clerk so instructed with Mayor's name last.
Commissioner Houston honored some of the old time citizens present °6
in the audience.

An informal meeting was held at the office of Attorney Clarke Walden
at 4:00 PM of this day. Mr. Walden presented a slate of re-appointments
to same at the same rate of compensation which could be raised at
any time during the coming year.

Judge A. Black Judge of the Municipal Court *;
Clarke Walden City Attorneys
Richard Dickerson Director of Recreation
Jean Moore Acting City Clerk at a compensation
of $5200.00
William Jones Acting Chief of Police until such
time as an appointment is made.
Mayor Kelly will be acting City Manager until such time as an
appointment is made to that office.
Other appointments to be made at Monday nights meeting.
Motion was made by Commissioner Marant and seconded by Commissioner
Houston to accept the slate.

Attorney Walden suggested that a motion be made to change the Bank
Resolution to include the names of those authorized to sign City
Checks.
Motion was made by Commissioner Houston and seconded by Commissioner
Marant. Voting as follows:

Commissioner Thornton Yes
Commissioner Waiters Yes
Mayor Kelly Yes
Commissioner Houston expressed a desire to include "Questions from
the Audience" on the Agendas ; not at the end of the meeting but
before the City Managers Report.
Commissioner Houston also asked for repeal of resolution No. 1762
which is the Gag Rble. Mr. Houston made the repeal in the form
of a motion which was seconded by Commissioner Marant.
