HomeMy WebLinkAbout31100 - MINUTES - City Commission w MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING, CITY COMMISSION, CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA HELD OCTOBER 30, 1967. The City Commission of the City of Dania, Florida, met in Special Session in the Commission Room at the City Hall. Present were: MAYOR-COMMISSIONER RICHARD MARANT COMMISSIONERS JAMES ADAMS (ABSENT) GUS BRICE (ABSENT) ROBERT KELLY BOISY N. WAITERS CITY ATTORNEY CLARKE WALDEN CITY MANAGER STANLEY GOLDBERG CHIEF OF POLICE ANTHONY J. CARACCI Meeting was called to order at 4:00 o'clock P. -M. Attorney Clarke Walden read a Resolution appointing Mrs. Jean Moore, Acting City Clerk-Auditor of the City of Dania, effective 8:00 A. M. , October 30, 1967, to serve at the pleasure of the City Commission. Commissioner Kelly made a Motion that the Resolution be adopted and Commissioner Boisy N. Waiters seconded the Motion, roll being called, the Commissioners voted as follows: KELLY YES WAITERS YES MARANT YES City Attorney Clarke Walden stated that a Motion be made for Resolution to be drawn up to add Mrs. Moore's name as a signatory on various bank accounts. Commissioner Waiters made a Motion and was seconded by Commissioner Kelly, roll being called, the Commissioners voted as follows: KELLY YES WAITERS YES MARANT YES City Attorney Clarke Walden suggested that in order to keep the payroll records up to date, that the Commission make a Motion to accept the resignation of Deputy City Clerk Donna Rumfelt, effective 5:00 o'clock P. M. , Friday, October 27, 1967. Commissioner Kelly made a Motion to accept Mrs. Rumfelt's resignation as of Friday, October 27, 1967, Commissioner Waiters seconded the Motion, roll being called, the Commission voted as follows: KELLY YES WAITERS YES MARANT YES Someone from the audience questioned the rules and regulations of the election and Mayor Marant stated he was going to see Mr. Bradford at the Broward County Courthouse and would have these rules and regulations down in writing and will try to make sure the same things thathappered in the Primary do not happen again.
