CITY MANAGER'S REPORT:
City Manager Goldberg presented a letter from Fleet Transport, Mr.
Jackson, regarding water line. Mr. Jackson has sent the agreement
to his home company, as agreed upon by the Commission at a previous
a: meeting. Mr. Jackson is suggesting a possible alternative that they
pay the city $1,000.00 plus'.the usual water meter deposit and fees
to provide a 3 inch water tap at the Southwesterly property corner.
The City has already agreed to pay the cost of this line along Stirl-
ing Road. "If an agreement can be reached along this line without the
City and Fleet getting into a re-rate agreement, the City would then
be able to make any future taps on this line as it desires, without
any rebate to fleet."
O
Mayor Marant suggested that they defer any action on this tonight
and bring it up again next Monday night when they will have the
entire Commission present.
No action.

City Manager Goldberg stated that the Building Inspector and City
Clerk Thornhill have some questions on the licenses at Pirates World.
"I -spoke to Mr. Robertson today about the head tax that he still owes
to the city, and he said that he would pay it, but he.would ILike to
s® - get these licenses that he has already paid for." Mr. Goldberg stated
that the City Clerk is still holding these licenses, and 'she says it
is her understanding that she was to hold them until the Building
In❑iwctor reported back to the Commission.
-2-
City Clerk Thornhill stated that he understanding was that until the
Certificate of Occupancy is issued for all of the concessions and
everything, they are to hold them until the approval was given by
the Building Department to the City Commission.
Building Inspector Walker stated that everything has been complied
with except for a few minor things.
Commissioner Brice stated that if these things are taken care of to
the satisfaction of the Building Department, they ought to issue the
permit and the licenses. However, they should be :sure that he is
licensed for everything there.
City Manager Goldberg stated that he spoke to Mr. Robertson about
this, and he said he is not going to take out licenses on these other
rides. And he referred to a state law which he said was passed in
regards to amusement parks recently, and this has been referred to
Mr. Walden, City Attorney, to check out.
Mayor Marant suggested that they wait then before they issue a license
or Certificate of Occupancy, until they hear from Mr. Walden.
Commissioner Brice disagreed saying, "Dontt give him any excuse, be-
cause his certificate of occupancy doesntt have anything to do with
these licenses. The thing about it is here it is the first of October,
and it is time for his renewal. You issue his certificate of occupancy,
and he has the month of October to come in for the renewals. Then if
they don't come in for the renewals, then you can take action."
There being no ;further business, the meeting adjourned.
