PLORIDA, HELD APRIL 5, 1967.

The City Commission of the City of Dania, Florida, met in
Special Session in the Commission Room at the City Hall.
Present were: MAYOR-COMMISSIONER RICHARD MARANT

try® The meeting was called to order at 6:30 P.M. by Mayor Marant, k
for the purpose of hearing the second reading on the transfer
iN of a 4 COP License from Martin, Inc. , The Banyan Club, to
Russell Golden. Mayor Marant asked Fire Chief Lassiter if the
4` curtains are now flame-proofed. Chief Lassiter replied they are.

A motion was made by Commissioner Brice to approve the transfer
on second reading. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Kelly.

7 . Commissioner Brice asked if this includes the Night Club license
also. City Attorney Walden replied that Mr. Golden does want it.
40 Commissioner Adams stated that they have some ordinances regulat-
ing this sort of business, and he suggested that if they are going
to grant this license, "I would like to see these ordinances strict-
ly enforced."
0 The roll being called, the Commissioners voted as follows:

Commissioner Kelly suggested that the Commission decide how much
of an extension they are going to give the people to hook up to the
sewer system. He stated that they discussed this at the last.meet-
ing, but they took no action on it.

Commissioner Brice stated that he would like it extended for a six-
month period, with the understanding that billing will take place
at 90 days from February 13, 1967. He suggested that the people
inform the Building Inspector as to when they would be able to hook
up. He further stated that there will be no additional extension
0 after this first extension.
City Attorney Walden stated that he would have to rewrite the reso-
lution, and he will have it ready for the next meeting.
Commissioner Kelly suggested that they be sure the ordinance spells
0 out that the people will be charged as of the 13th of May, whether
they are hooked up or not.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
