Seafair Hotel proposal . The Commission reviewed with Steve Snyder the lease terms , annual rent , number of rooms in the proposed hot:el, expected j revenues for both parties , parking needs and parking meter charges at the beach for the Seafa.i-r- Hotel proposal . Larry Leeds , Growth Mangement Director, explained that this o project will create five different entities; hotel , restaurant and club, meeting and banquet facility, marina +* and a retail facility. Since there will be a mixed use of these facilities during different times of the day, Mr. Leeds felt there should be ample parking ora the site. Mr. Jon DaFries , Goodkin Research Corporali_ou City consultant , was present to make recommendations to the Commission based on his maakeling study and experience in i this type of project . ! 2. Dania's future water supply. I City ?tanager Flatley reminded the Commission of the many i discussions on Dania ' s future water supply. Mr'. Flatley 1 explained ghat the two alternatives di.scussed involved purchasing raw water from the County regional raw water system and treat at the: CO-y Plant. or to purchase finished water on a bulk basis from Hollywood or Ft. . Lauderdale to service the citizens of Dania . Mr . Flatley asked Chat John Calvin, City Engineer and Stan Cohen, Rdchlin & Cohen , present their findings on tide Options available and costs involved to the City . Further discussion on the proposed Dania International Commerce Center. Petitioner -- Ross Beckerman; property located t at 280 Bryan Road. Mr. Ross Beckerman, representing Anara Investment , explained the proposed warehouse distribution facility and addressed the issues brought up by the Commissioners at the last regular commission meeting of January 9 , 1990 regarding large truck traffic, business hours dud the impact on the residents in the area and the change in zoning to a C-4 classification. . A representative from Barton-Aschman Associates , Inc. , Engineers for Anara InvestmenLs , presented their study of the vehicle mix, number of vehicles that would be accessing the site after hours , impacts to N .W. lsL Street by DICC traffic, and truck access via Old Griffin/New Griffin intersection affected by this project . After further discussion, Anara Investment agreed to accept C-3 zoning with a special exception requirement for each additional use for the two buildings in the north section of the project and C-9 zoning on the remaining four buildings . I 4 . Status report on concurrency. Larry Leeds , Growth Management Director, advised the Commission of a Concurrency ordinance and revised zoning district regulations that were suppose to be adopted November 1 , 1989 and that the 90 day extension will expire on February 1 . Mr . Leeds urged the Commission to move forward with adoption of these ordinances as he fears the City could be placed in a position of not having land development regulations as required by the State. _ Mr. Leeds informed the Commission that he revised the zoning categories to make them consistent with the City ' s Comprehensive Plan that was adopted last year. The Commission agreed to place Lhese ordinances on the Consent, Agenda for the next regular commission meeting of January 23 , 1990 . } This workshop meeting was then adjourned .
