1 . Commission approval for Special Occupational License to be
granted to the Mt. Pleasant AME Church , to hold a Carnival on
the open field north of the Westside Cemetery on February
13-17 . Request made by Mr. Claude L. Blocker, Member Steward
Board.

Claude L. Blocker requested a Special Occupational License
for Mt . Pleasant A.M.E . Church , Liberia , Hollywood, to hold a
carnival on the open field north of the Westside Cemetery on
February 13-17 . He explained that although the Church is in
Hollywood, half its membership is from Dania and the property
on which the Church plans to hold the fund-raising carnival
is in Dania .
After discussion of insurance and safety requirements, a
motion was made by Commissioner Cook, seconded by
ate- Commissioner Adams to approve the granting of a Special
Occupational License to Mt . Pleasant A.M.E. Church to hold a
Carnival on the open field north of the Westside Cemetery on
February 13-17 , 1985 , closing no later than 1.1 :00 p.m. , and
contingent upon meeting City Administration' s insurance and
safety requirements.
The motion passed on the following roll call vote:
Commissioner Adams-yes
Commissioner Cook-yes
Mayor Byrd-yes
This Special Commission Meeting was then adjourned.
