APPOINTMENTS 2. 1 Request for Commission Ap pointment of Dubow, Meyer and Adair, Attorneys at Law, to become legal counsel to the Dania Code Enforcement Board . A motion was made by Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner Adams to appoint Robert Dubow to serve with no compensation as legal counsel to the Dania Code Enforcement Board. PUBLIC HEARINGS VARIANCES 4. 1 PZ-20-84, MICHAEL L . THOMAS, 1601 GRIFFIN ROAD; (CONTINUED FROM OCTOBER 23, 1984 MEETING) . Ross Beckerman, Attorney for the petitioner, stepped forward to explain the variance request relating to the hotel height restrictions and required number of parking spaces, stressing the point that the petitioner has withdrawn the portion of the original variance request relating to the size and percentage of parking spaces , fully complying with the Dania parking ordinance. t + Mr . Beckerman referred to a packet hand delivered on November 8th to the Commission and Building Official Maxwell containing a Letter of explanation, a copy of the plan submitted, the developer ' s September 7th calculations, and a memo from the architects giving specific comparisons with what they have done in Miami . He announced that an agreement has since been reached with the Hilton Hotel and documents are about to be executed. Mayor Byrd opened the public hearing.
