Home My WebLink AboutR-1982-458 i RESOLUTION NO . 458 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, DECLARING CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY AS BEING OBSOLETE AND SURPLUS AND NO LONGER NEEDED FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES AND FURTHER DECLARING THE INTENT OF CITY OF DANIA TO SELL SAME ; AND PRO- VIDING THAT ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESO- LUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE . WHEREAS , the City Manager , with the advice and consent of the Fire Chief and other Department Heads , has determined that , a the continued use of the following described personal property is uneconomical and inefficient and serves no useful function and, therefore , would be to the best interests of the City to declare such property surplus and dispose of same by sale to the highest bidder: I One 1976 Wellcraft Boat , Serial Number 00547M76AF24, Registration Number FL 1062 DW, Title No . 810214 ; Hull Length: 24 Feet , 8 Inches . WHEREAS , the City Manager has recommended that the City Commission declare said property to be surplus and that it be offered for sale to the highest bidder. NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA: Section 1. That with respect to the following described personal property, to wit : One 1976 Wellcraft Boat , Serial Number 00547M76AF24 , Registration Number FL 1062 DW, Title No . 810214 ; Hull Length: 24 Feet , 8 Inches , the City of Dania makes the following declarations : i (a) That said property serves no useful function and is no longer needed for public purposes . (b) That the City of Dania does hereby declare such personal property to be surplus and further declares its desire to sell same . Section 2 . That said personal property shall be offered for sale to the public at the meeting of the City Commission to be I held on Tuesday , JUNE 8TH 1982 , at 8 : 30 P.M. The City Clerk-Auditor is authorized to publish notice of such sale in a newspaper of general circulation , with the publication to be at least ten (10) days before the date of sale . At 8 :30 P .M. on Tuesday, JUNE 8TH 1982 , sealed bids shall be received and protests heard. Section 3 . All bids must provide that the bid price is "net" to the City of Dania. The City of Dania shall have no obligation to pay State sales tax or any other charges imposed in the trans- fer of title to the successful bidder. The City shall close the i transaction by the delivery of the said property and by executing i and delivering the Certificate of Title to the said property to said successful bidder upon the payment , in current funds , of the bid price , which shall be paid within ten (10 ) days after the acceptance of the I bid or bids by the City Commission. lSection 4 . City of Dania expressly reserves the right to 1 " reject any and all bids. 1 Section 5 . That the proceeds derived from the sale of said y property shall be deposited in the General Fund. Section 6 . That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict . Section 7 . That this Resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED and ADOPTED on this 13TH day of APR IL 1982 .
