RESOLUTION NO. 457
I A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA,
f AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONTRACT FOR
l THE PURCHASE OF SUPPLIES , SERVICES , EQUIPMENT
y AND MATERIALS IN THE AMOUNT OF $3 , 700 . 00 WITH-
OUT COMPETITIVE BIDDING AND WITHOUT ADVERTISE-
MENT FOR BIDS ; AND PROVIDING THAT ALL RESOLUTIONS
OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE
REPEALED TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT AND PRO-
VIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
City of Dania, Part III , Article
WHEREAS , the Charter of the
3 , Section 4 , Subsection (J) , authorizes the City Manager to pur-
chase supplies , services , equipment and materials for the City
Government in an amount up to and including $5 ,000 . 00 without
competitive bidding and without advertisement for bids , if he is
authorized to do so in advance by a resolution adopted by the City
Commission; and
WHEREAS , the City Manager has determined that it is necessary

to make repairs to the City' s swimming pool at Modello Park; and

WHEREAS , the City Manager has determined that such repairs

can be made at the least cost to the City by accepting the proposal
j of Universal Pool Co . , dated April 19 , 1982 , a copy of which is
attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby

authorized to contract with Universal Pool Co. , 2550 West Sunrise
Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale , Florida , to perform the repairs to the
City' s pool located in Modello Park, as set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, with said contract to be made without competitive
bidding and without advertisement for bids .
Section 2. That the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to pay from the General Fund to said Universal Pool
Co . the sum of Three Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($3 ,700.J0)
upon the satisfactory completion of said work.
Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent
of such conflict .

Section 4 . That this Resolution shall be in force and take

effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
