A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA,
DECLARING CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY AS BEING
OBSOLETE AND SURPLUS AND 110 LONGER NEEDED FOR
MUNICIPAL PURPOSES AND FURTHER DECLARING THE
INTENT OF CITY OF DANIA TO SELL SAME; AND
PROVIDING THAT ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF
RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED
TO THE EY'DENT OF SUCH CONFLICT AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Manager, with the advice and consent of the
Fire Chief and other Department Heads, have determined that the continued
use of the following described personal property is uneconomical and
inefficient and serves no useful function and, therefore, would be to the
best interests of the City to declare such property surplus and dispose
of sane by sale to the highest bidder:
1. One 1978 Plymouth 4-Door Sedan, Identification
No. RL41G84178802.
2. One 1978 Plymouth 4-Door Sedan, Identification No.
RL41G84178801.
3. One 1977 Pontiac 4-Door Sedan, Identification No.
2D29Z7P274898.
4. One 1977 Pontiac 4-Door Sedan, Identification No.
2D29Z7P271636.
5. One 1970 International Tractor (Diesel). Identification
,. No. 2197.
6. One 1975 Chevrolet 4-Door Sedan, Identification No.
1C29HSD452420.
7. One 1973 Chevrolet Pick-up truck, Identification
No. CCT243F406355.
8. One Leco #12 Street Fogger.
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that the City Commission
declare said property to be surplus and that it be offered for sale to the
highest bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TE[E CITY COMMISSION OF TEE'
CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That with respect to the following, described personal
property, to wit:

+ the City of Dania makes the following declarations:
(a) That said property serves no useful function and is no longer
needed for public ourooses.
(b) That the City of Dania does hereby declare such personal
property to be surplus and further declares its desire to sell same.
Section 2. That said personal property shall be offered for sale
to the public at the meeting of the City Commission to be held on Tuesday,
April 28th, 1981, at 8:30 P.M. The City Clerk-Auditor is authorized to
publish notice of such sale in a newspaper of general circulation, with the
publication to be at least ten (10) days before the date of sale. At 8:30 P.M.
on Tuesday, April 28th, 1981, sealed bids shall be received and protests heard.
Section 3. All bids must provide that the bid price is "net" to the
City of Dania. The City of Dania shall have no obligation to pay State sales
tax or any other charges impcsed in the transfer of title to the successful
bidder. The City shall close the transaction by the delivery of the said
property cuid by executing, and delivering the Certificates of Title to the
said motor vehicles to said successful bidders upon the payment, in current funds,
of the bid price or prices, which shall be paid within ten (10) days after the
acceptance of the bid or bids by the City Commission.

Section 4. City of Dania expressly reserves the right to reject any
and all bids.
Section 5. That the proceeds derived from the sale of said property

shall be deposited in the General Fund.
Section 6. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in con-
flict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
Section 7. That this resolution shall be in force and take effect
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
PASSED and ADOPTED on this 24th day of March, 1981.
