A RESOLUTION OF THE, CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA,
REQUESTING THAT THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING
AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT CONDUCT A COMPLETE AND
THOROUGH INVESTIGATION OF THE DANIA HOUSING
AUTHORITY INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE
FINANCIAL, ADMINISTRATIVE AND CONTRACTUAL
REQUIREMENTS OF THE AUTHORITY; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Dania Housing Authority is presently engaged in
the construction of a major housing project in addition to its
normal functions; and
WHEREAS, the city commission is concerned about the failure
of the board to accept appointments or members to the board which
were made by the mayor and with the approval of the city
commissioners ; and

WHEREAS, the city commission is further concerned because
the authority is apparently being operated without regular
advertised public meetings at which the progress of the
construction of the housing project and other matters normally
brought before the board are discussed and acted upon .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section 1 . That the City Commission of the City of Dania,
Florida, does hereby request the U.S. Department of Housing and
Urban Development conduct a complete and thorough investigation
of the Dania Housing Authority, including , but not limited to,
the financial, administrative and contractual requirements and
obligations of the housing authority.

Section 2_ That a report of said investigation be
furnished to the City of Dania .
Section 3. That a copy of this resolution be furnished to
the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, each
commissioner of the Dania Housing Authority and to other parties
as may be designated by the city manager.
Section 4 . That this resolution shall be in force and take
effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
