OF MIAMI ; AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA: Section 1 . That that certain Amendment to Parking Meters Agreement by and between the City of Dania , Florida , and Stroyne Brothers South, Inc. of Miami , a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" , be and the same is hereby approved, and the appropriate city officials are hereby directed to execute same . Section 2 . That this resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED and ADOPTED this 26th day of September , 1989 . ADLER, Citv Attornev Resolution No. 109-89. 1 AMENDMENT TO PARKING METERS AGREEMENT This Amendment to Parking Meters Agreement dated this day of June , 1989 , by and between the CITY OF DANIA, a municipal corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of Florida, ( hereinafter referred to as "CITY" ) and STROYNE BROTHERS SOUTH, INC . OF MIAMI , a Florida corporation, ( hereinafter referred to as "STROYNE" ) . WITNESSETH : Whereas, CITY and STROYNE entered into that certain Parking Meters Agreement on April 1 , 1987, for the purchase and maintenance of parking meters within the City of Dania and for the collection and deposit of the revenues generated by said meters; and Whereas , the City Commission of the City of Dania, Florida , desires to amend said agreement to provide for modification of 4 existing meters , purchase of additional meters , purchase of collection carts and cannisters , twice a week collections and deposits and to amend the term thereof . NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, together with other good and valuable M considerations, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, the parties hereto agree to amend said original agreement as follows : 1 . That upon the approval of this agreement by CITY, STROYNE ,rn _i �••�-- -•+� �•••,� �.. pur..0 uo� JJV newV1C DU114..a 11 PIV dCl 70 iJdrklflg meters and shall purchase 254 exchange mechanisms to convert existing meters which will result in a total of 590 meters at Dania Beach (and 54 meters located on Fronton Boulevard which will not be modified but will continue to be maintained and serviced in the same manner as is being presently done under the original contract except for an increase in .the monthly charges for each . meter as provided hereinafter) all of which shall be installed , maintained and serviced in the same manner as provided for in the original agreement except as modified herein . 2 . That CITY shall pay to STROYNE the sum of $12 .78 per month for each meter- located at Dania Beach and on Fronton Boulevard to cover all costs and charges for the purchase of the foregoing equipment , the installation and service of all 644 meters and the twice a week collection and deposit of all revenues generated therefrom during the term hereof . The monthly charge of $12 .78 per meter shall be based upon the minimum guaranteed count of 634 meters . 3 . The term of the original agreement be and the same is hereby amended to make same effective June 1 , 1989 and shall remain• in full force and effect through June 30 , 1993 . 4 . That except as herein amended , all other provisions of the original agreement: dated April 1 , 1987 , shall remain in full force and effect . Adler, City Attorney J -2- 1 l RESOLUTION N0. 1 �9-R9 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, APPROVING THAT CERTAIN ADDENDUM TO 1988-91 SERVICE AGREEMENT DATED AUGUST 30 , 1988 , BETWEEN THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA AND NICK NAVARRO, AS SHERIFF OF BROWARD COUNTY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. i BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA: Section 1 . That that certain Addendum to 1988-91 Service Agreement dated August 30, 1988 , between the City of Dania, Florida and Nick Navarro, as Sheriff of Broward County, a copy of which is annexed hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A" , be and the same is hereby approved and the appropriate city officials are directed to execute same . ADLER, City Attorney L Resolution No. 109-89 ,i J j ADDENDUM TO 1988-91 SERVICE AGREEMENT DATED AUGUST 30, 1988 This Addendum to Service Agreement, made and entered into in Broward County, Florida , this day of 1989 , by and between the City of Dania, a municipal corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of Florida, which municipality is fully located within the boundaries of Broward County, Florida, hereinafter referred to as "CITY" and =Nick Navarro, as Sheriff of Broward County, Florida, hereinafter referred to as "SHERIFF" . WITNESSETH: WHEREAS , the CITY, heretofore contracted with the SHERIFF to provide for municipal police services ; and WHEREAS, the CITY is desirous of increasing the number of sworn personnel to be provided by the SHERIFF and , in connection therewith, of making an amendment to the effective Service Agreement ; and WHEREAS , the CITY has heretofore agreed to pay the SHERIFF a sum not to exceed a five percent ( 53) increase for operations for the period of the agreement beginning October 1 , 1989 and ending September 30, 1990 , and , in connection therewith, of making an amendment to the effective Service Agreement . NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the sums hereinafter set forth and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and 1pnal anffiripnry of whirh nrP hprphv arknowlprinpH . it it hereby agreed as follows : 1 . Amendment No. 1 : Subsection 1 . 2. 5 is hereby amended as follows: 1.2.5 (F) One ( 1 ) motorcycle deputy. 2. Amendment No. 2: Subsection 8 . 1 is hereby amended as follows : I 8.1 The CITY shall pay to the SHERIFF in consideration', of increased operating costs and additional services to be a performed for the term hereof , the sum of Two Million Four Hundred Sixty-Three Thousand One Hundred Eighty-Five and no/100 Dollars ($2,463, 185.00 ) , which sum shall be payable monthly, in advance in =.a EXHIBIT "A" i equal installments of Two Hundred Five Thousand , Two Hundred i Sixty-Five Dollars and Forty-One Cents ($205 , 265.41 ) for the I period beginning October 1 , 1989 and ending September 30 , 15,90 . The yearly payment shall be reduced by $27 ,750 .00 for the Berm October 1 , 1989 through September 30 , 1990 thus reducing the monthly payment by $2, 312. 50, for the term October 1 , 1989 through September 30 , 1990 for consideration of the rental of the Division Headquarters. 3 . Amendment No. 3: That monthly payments by CITY to SHERIFF shall be reduced by a sum equal to the collective monthly earnings of those employees of SHERIFF who elected to remain in the CITY' s retirement system multiplied by the prevailing rate of contributions to the Florida Retirement System for employee ' s various classifications. Except as herein amended , all other provisions of the original contract shall remain in full force and effect.
