AN ORDINANCE PROMULGATING A NEW
a SECTION IN THE 1971 CODE OF ORDI-
NANCES, CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA,
TO BE KNOWN AS SECTION 16-241,
{ REGARDING WEED AND UNDERGROWTH
NUISANCES; AND PROVIDING THAT ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH ARE HEREBY
j REPEALED TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH
CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING THAT BY
jUNANIMOUS CONSENT OF ALL COMMIS-
SIONERS PRESENT, THE ORDINANCE
i HAS BEEN INTRODUCED, READ THE FIRST
l TIME, READ BY TITLE ONLY THE SECOND
I TIME AND THIRD TIME, AND PASSED ON
ALL THREE READINGS AT THE SAME
MEETING; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
DANIA, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. That a new section in the 1971 Code of

Ordinances, City of Dania, Florida, to be known as Section 16-
241 is hereby promulgated and enacted, to read as follows:
1 ? "Sec. 16-241 Weed and undergrowth
nuisances--defined.
The existence of excessive accumulation or
untended growth of weeds, undergrowth or other
dead or living plant life upon any
lot, tract �
r!! or parcel of land, improved or unimproved,
1 within one hundred feet (100' ) of any improved
j property within the limits of City of Dania to
vl the extent and in the manner that such lot,
tract or parcel of land is or may reasonably
become infested or inhabited by rodents, vermin
or wild animals, or may furnish a breeding place
1 for mosquitoes, or threatens or endangers the
public health, safety or welfare, or may reason-
ably cause disease, or adversely affects an3im-
pairs the economic welfare of adjacent property,
is hereby prohibited and declared to be a public
nuisance. "

Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts

in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such

conflict.

I Section 3 . By unanimous consent of all commissioners j
present, the ordinance has been introduced, read the first time,
read by title only the second time and third time, and passed on
all three readings at the same meeting.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in force and
take effect immediately upon its final passage and adoption.
