AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DANIA
AUTHORIZING THE CITY COMMISSION BY
RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE
OF DESIGNATED SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT
WITHOUT COMPETITIVE BIDDING WHERE
SUCH BIDDING WOULD BE IMPRACTICAL,
BUT ALL AREAS WHERE PRACTICAL, BIDD-
ING PROCEDURES MUST BE USED.
WHEREAS, from time to time the City is required
to purchase supplies and equipment not susceptible to

bidding procedures ,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
j OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Dania be amended by adding a section to be numbered

Section 2-3, which section reads as follows:
"Section 2-3 Waiver of Bidding Requirements
Upon recommendation ot the City Manager,
the City Commission may authorize the
City Manager to purchase supplies and
equipment in excess of $1,000.00 with-
out competitive bidding and without
advertisement for bids by a resolution,
properly noticed for public hearing
and adopted by unanimous vote of all
Commissioners present,authorizing the
purchase and setting forth the reason
the purchase is not being made by com-
petitive bidding."
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of
ordinances and all resolutions or parts of resolutions
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed
to the extent of such conflict.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in
force and take effect immediately upon it's passage and

adoption.

PASSED and ADOPTED on First Reading on the 21 day
of October, 1975.
PASSED and ADOPTED on Second and Final Reading on
the 18 day of November, 1975.
