ORDINANCE NO, 60
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DANIA AMENDING
SECTION 33-5 BY ADDING SUB-SECTION (6) OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES PROVIDING A METHOD
TO EXTEND DISCONTINUED NONCONFORMING USES
INCLUDING TEMPORARY NONCONFORMING PERMITS
THAT MAY HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF

MANIA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Code of Ordinances , Chapter 33 ,

Section 33-5 thereof is amended by having sub-section (6) which
!section shall read as follows :

(6) Extension of discontinued nonconforming uses .
Nonconforming uses existing at the time of the adoption
of this Chapter on October 30, 1974, including temporary noncon-
Jforming permits, that have been discontinued may be continued by
resolution of the City Commission after public hearing, provided
the use of the property without permitting the nonconforming use

Junder the existing or changed zoning district would require struc-

itural changes imposing a hardship to the property owner . Such

;continued use shall be subject to becoming a discontinued noncon-
i
jforming use as otherwise provided in this Section.
Section 2 . That all ordinances or resolutions in con-
iflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent
i

of such conflict.
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in force and
hake effect immediately upon its passage and adoption on second and

final readings .
