Re: Our file number M-146
Dear Mrs. Mullikin:
You gave me a copy of a handwritten list evidently prepared
by Mr. Clay and concerning his notes regarding a listing of ordi-
nances or resolutions. I have started checking the items on Mr.
Clay' s list to verify that our records agree with his. As I will
mention in a number of instances, our records indicate that we have
generally delivered the copies at the time they were approved and/
or Mr. Clay' s understanding was in error. However, I am in the
process of going through the items, one by one, so that we can
verify our records with yours.
Mr. Clay does not have a record of an ordinance re-zoning the
property of Howard Hirsch located at the Southwest corner of North
Federal Highway and N. W. 1st Street, Dania. On routine re-zoning
ordinances, we have generally not prepared specific or separate files.
However, I have reviewed our records and find that our office adver-
tised for the hearing before the city commission on January 17, 1972.
The ordinance was adopted on first reading on January 17, 1972, on
second reading on February 7, 1972, and on third reading on February
21, 1972.
We used a description of Lots 1 and 4, and a certain east
portion of Lots 2 and 3, Block 13, Town of Dania, in the legal adver-
tisement and the reading of the ordinance. However, we were later
1 able to obtain a more accurate description as to the exact parts of
Lots 2 and 3, namely, the East 30 feet of Lots 2 and 3.
We enclose a replacement copy which shows the exact dates of
the readings before the commission. I have assigned number 6. 1 to
the ordinance for correlation purposes. I suggest that you place
the replacement copy in your ordinance records. When we complete
our final correlation of our records with Mr. Clay' s handwritten
list, we shall include the ordinance in our summary to the commission.
i
Sincerely yours,
9
