HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-1971-587 a i • ► _i ORDINANCE NO. 587_ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 18-14 CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, AS SAME MAY HAVE BEEN SUB- SE(XJENTLY AMENDED, CONCERNING THE OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE FEE TO BE PAID BY PERSONS, FIRMS OR ASSOCIATIONS ENGAGING IN AND MANAGING BUSINESSES, PROFESSIONS OR OCCUPATIONS WITHIN THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA; AND AMENDING SECTION 18-15 , CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, CONCERNING THE OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE FEE TO BE PAID BY EVERY UNCLASSIFIED BUSINESS, OCCUPATION, PROFESSION OR EXHIBITION; AND PROVIDING THAT ANY SPECIAL ORDIN- ANCES PASSED BY THE CITY OF DANIA) FLORIDA, WHICH, AMONG THEIR TERMS, PROVIDE FOR LICENSING FEES, SHALL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT UNLESS SPECIFICALLY REPEALED BY THE WRITTEN ORDINANCE; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE IN FORCE AND EFFECTIVE AS OF OCTOBER 1, 1971. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA: Section 1. That Section 18-14, Code of Ordinances, City of Dania, Florida , as subsequently amended, concerning the license fees to be paid by persons , firms or associations engaging in or managing businesses, professions or occupations within the City of Dania , be and the same is hereby amended to provide, after such amendment, as follows : "SEC_ 18-14. License Schedule. The amounts which shall be paid persons , firms or � by the several p_e � I associations engaging in or managing businesses , professions or occupations for which a license fee is required are the amounts set forth in the schedules attached hereto, consisting of numbered pages 1 through 18 inclusive and containing a total of 173 items. i i i II' -1- L I i Sl._ ......,.:..,a, a •..,. G � i Section 2 That Section 18-15, Code of Ordinances, City of Dania, Florida, concerning the license fees to be paid by unclassified occupations, be and the same is hereby I amended to provide, after such amendment, as follows; "Sec. 18-15. Unclassified Occupations. Every business, occupation, pro- fession or exhibition, substantial, fixed or temporary engaged in by any person, whether in a building, tent or upon the street , vacant lot, or anywhere in the open air, within the city, and not herein specifically designated, shall pay a license fee of thirty-five dollars. " Section 3. . Recognizing that special ordinances have been adopted from time to time which contain, among their incidental provisions , provisions providing for exact amounts to be paid in certain cases for occupational licenses, the City Commission does hereby determine and ordain that any 4 and all license fees set forth in such special ordinances i j shall remain in full force and effect unless specifically changed, amended or repealed by any of the items or amounts i set forth in the schedule which is attached hereto and which in intended to be the schedule of occupational license fees adopted by Section 18-14, Code of Ordinances , City of Dania , Florida , as amended herein. Section 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances I in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in force and effective as of October 1, 1971.
