ORDINANCE NO. 576
A PENAL ORDINANCE MAKING IT UNLAWFUL AND AN
j OFFENSE IN THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, TO
j{ COVER UP, CONCEAL, DEFACE, DESTROY, OR DAMAGE
ANY WATER METER CONNECTED TO THE WATER LINES
OF THE CITY OF DANIA MUNICIPAL WATER SYSTEM;
9 AND, IN CASES OF THE COVERING UP, CONCEALMENT,
ENCLOSING, DEFACING OR DESTROYING OF ANY SUCH
WATER METER, PROVIDING THAT IT IS A PRESUMPTION
THAT SUCH ACTS WERE DONE BY THE PERSON, FORM
OR ENTITY IN WHOSE NAME 'ME PARTICULAR WATER
ACCOUNT FOR THE METER IS CARRIED ON THE RECORDS
OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA; AND PROVIDING
THAT ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED TO THE EX-
TENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING THAT
THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE IN FULL FORCE AND
EFFECT AS OF ITS PASSAGE AND ADOPTION ON
THIRD READING.
1 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA,
lI FLORIDA:
Section 1. It shall be unlawful and an offense against
the ordinances of the City of Dania, Florida, for any person,
firm or entity to enclose, cover up, conceal deface, destroy
or damage any water meter connected to the water lines of
the City of Dania municipal water system.
Section 2. A presumption (not conclusive) shall exist
that any of the acts which are unlawful under the provisions
of Section 1. as to a particular water meter were done by
ithe person, firm or entity in whose name the account is carried
on the records of the City of Dania concerning water service

# furnished through the particular meter.
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such con-
flict.
Section 4. By unanimous consent of all commissioners
present, this ordinance has been introduced, read the first
time, read by title only the second time and the third time
and passed on the first reading, second reading, and third j

reading at the meeting of the City Commission held on May 17

Section 5. This ordinance shall be in .force and take
effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
