ORDINANCE NO. �SGS 1 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23-9, CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, CONCERNING THE TAX IMPOSED I ON UTILITY SERVICES; AND PROVIDING THAT ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CON— FLICT; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDI— NANCE SHALL BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE NEXT UTILITY BILLING PERIOD FOLLOWING ITS PASSAGE AND ADOPTION. t i BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY i OF DANIA, FLORIDA: G ; Section 1. That Section 23-9, Code of Ordinances, j ' City of Dania, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended so that such section shall read, after amendment, as follows : j rr 4 i I I "Sec . 23-9. Tax imposed; amounts. The tax hereby levied shall be equal to ten per cent of the charge upon each and every purchase of electricity, metered or bottled gas (natural, liquefied petroleum gas or manu- factured) , water service, sanitary sewer ser- vice, local telephone service and telegraph service within the city and shall apply only to the first two hundred fifty dollars of the purchase of any one utility during any one E month, and no tax hereby is levied or shall ! be collected upon the amount in excess of two � hundred fifty dollars in any one month for any one utility account of any one consumer or user. " i - a ` R /s) I Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordi- nances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent i of such conflict. I Section 3.
