ORDINANCE NO. 54
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 43 RE-
GARDING GENERALLY RULES AND REGULATIONS
COVERING THE PROTECTION OF TREES , SHRUBS
AND VEGETATIVE COVER WITHIN THE CITY OF
DANIA, FLORIDA AND PROVIDING FOR IhIANDATORY
REMOVAL OF TREES UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES
SET FORTH HEREIN; —
AND
PROVIDING THAT ALL ORDINANCES OR RESOLUTIONS I
IN CONFLICT HEPrWITH BE REPEALED TO THE ER-
TENT OF SUCII CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
j DANIA, FLORIDA: ;
Section 1. That ordinance no. 43 of the City of Dania
Florida, commonly known as the "tree preservation ordinance"
be and the same is hereby amended by adding a section to be
known as Section 13. which shall read as follows : `
Section 13 . That the City Forester
shall have authority to require a

a property owner to remove a tree in
the event that he determines that any
of the conditions described in Section 5 .
(d) (1) (c) or sec'`ion 5 . (d) (1) (d) exist;

that upon receipt of written notice from
the City Forester the property owner shall
have ten (10) da. s within which to remove
the tree. However, no permit shall be
required and such written notice from the
City Forester shall be authority for re-
moval
Section 2 That all ordinances or resolutions in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
Section 3 That this ordinance shall be in force and take
effect immediately upon its passage and adoption on second and final
reading.
