AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND RESCINDING
A CERTAIN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
DANIA, FLORIDA, PASSED AND ADOPTED ON
f THIRD AND FINAL READING ON OCTOBER 21,
1968, WHICH AUTHORIZED A LEASE AGREE-
MENT WITH GIANT AMUSEMENT COMPANY; AND I
j REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING BY UNANIMOUS CONSENT OF ALL
COMMISSIONERS PRESENT FOR THE INTRO-
DUCTION OF THE ORDINANCE, THE READING
OF THE ORDINANCE FOR THE FIRST TIME
AND THE READING OF THE ORDINANCE BY
TITLE ONLY THE SECOND AND THIRD TIMES
{ AND THE PASSAGE OF THE ORDINANCE ON
ALL THREE READINGS AT THE MEETING OF
j THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
i DANIA, FLORIDA, HELD ON MARCH 3, 1969;
AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL i
i
BE IN FORCE AND TAKE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY
i UPON ITS PASSAGE AND ADOPTION.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Dania,
I
Florida, adopted an ordinance on third and final reading on '
IOctober 21, 1968, which authorized a lease between City of Dania,
as lessor, and Giant Amusement Company, as lessee, concerning the
i
leasing of an area at Dania Beach, Dania, Florida, for the purpose
of constructing and operating an amusement device known as a
"giant slide" ; and

WHEREAS, Giant Amusement Company never executed the

lease and has evidently abandoned the proposed project; and

WHEREAS, the City Commission now desires to lease the
area to a third party.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA:

Section 1. That the ordinance adopted on third
I
and final reading by the City Commission of the City of Dania,
Florida, on October 21, 1968, authorizing a lease agreement
I
with Giant Amusement Company, be and the same is hereby re-
scinded and repealed in its entirety.
i
Section 2 . That the City Clerk-Auditor be and he
is hereby directed to forward a copy of the within ordinance
to Giant Amusement Company at its last known address .

Section 3 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such

i
conflict.

Section 4. That by unanimous consent of all com-
missioners present at the meeting of the city commission of the
i
City of Dania, Florida, held on March 3, 1969, the within
i
1 ordinance has been introduced, read the first time, read by
title only the second and third times and passed on all three
readings at said meeting of March 3, 1969.

Section 5 . That this ordinance shall be in force and
take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
