AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 27-3,
SUB-SECTION (a) , CODE OF ORDINANCES,
CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, AS PREVIOUSLY
AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 371, ADOPTED
ON APRIL 15TH, 1957, TO PROVIDE A NEW
SCHEDULE OF RATES AND CHARGES FOR
WATER SERVICES BY THE CITY OF DANIA,
FLORIDA; AND PROVIDING THAT ALL ORDI-
NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE RE-
PEALED TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT•
AND PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE SHALL
BECOME EFFECTIVE AS OF ITS PASSAGE AND
� ADOPTION ON THIRD READING. �

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Dania,
Florida has considered the existing schedule of water rates for

i water service furnished by the City of Dania, Florida; and

WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it for the best
interest of the City of Dania, Florida, to amend th
e existing
schedule of water rates and charges to be made by the City of
Dania for water supplied by it;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA:
Sect 1. Section 27-3, sub-section (a) , of the Code
Of Ordinances of the City of Dania, Florida, as amended by
Ordinance No. 371 adopted on April 15, 1957, be and it is hereby

further amended to read as follows after amendment:
"Section 27-3.
Rates and charges. �

(a) Enumerated.
The watert
rates and charges f
(� to be made by the city for water supplied by it,
III shall be as follows:
Ir
" (1) A minimum charge of $2 ,00 shall be
made against any connected service for each month's
service connection, which charge shall cover all
water used by the consumer up to 4,000 gallons .
The minimum charge of $2,00 shall be made for any

1 period less than a month as well.
91 " (2) All- water in excess of 4, 000 gallons
used by the consumer in any one-month period shall
be charged and paid for at the rate of 28j per
1,000 gallons for each additional 1,000 gallons
used.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
{ conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the
extent of such conflict.

Section 3. This ordinance shall be in force and take

effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
