j ORDINANCE NO. 467

AN ORDINANCE CREATING AND PRESCRIBING
THE DUTIES OF DANIA POLICE RESERVE; AND
j PROVIDING THAT ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS
OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE
REPEALED TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT;
j AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL
BECOME EFFECTIVE AS OF ITS PASSAGE AND
ADOPTION ON THIRD READING.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMM1 SSION OF THE CITY OF
DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That an organization to be known as Dania Police Reserve
be and the same is hereby recognized and established by the City Commission
of the City of Dania, Florida.

Section 2. That the members of this Dania Police Reserve when

on duty as hereinafter provided, shall have the same powers and authority
as police officers of the Police Department of the City of Dania, Florida.
Section 3. The members of the Dania Police Reserve shall be sub-
ject to call for duty by the Chief of Police of the City of Dania, Florida, at
such time and under such rules and regulations as he may y prescribe.

Section 4. When on duty as herein provided the members of the

j Dania Police Reserve shall receive the sum of One Dollar, ($1. 00), per day,

to be paid by the City of Dania, Florida. Provisions shall be made to place
the members of Dania Police Reserve under such provisions of the Florida
Workmen's Compensation Act as may be applicable to such member.
Section 5. The members of the Dania Police Reserve shall not be
required to take any examinations or be subject to any benefits, rules and
regulations prescribed now or later by City of Dania, Florida, concerning
jthe regular members of its Police Department.
Section 6. That the Mayor-Commissioner, City Commissioners,

Fire Chief, members of the Fire Department, Building Inspector, City
Manager, City Clerk-Auditor, City Attorney^ nd Department Heads of City
i
of Dania, Florida, shall not be eligible to be members of the Dania Police
i
i
Reserve.
i
Section 7. That all ordinances and resolutions, or parts of
ordinances and resolutions in conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby
i
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 8. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
