ORDINANCE NO. /
AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE
CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA TO ANNEX CERTAIN
LANDS CONTIGUOUS THERETO PURSUANT TO THE
PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 171. 04, FLORIDA STATUTES,
1963; AND PROVIDING BY UNANIMOUS CONSENT OF
ALL COMMISSIONERS PRESENT THAT THE ORDINANCE
BE INTRODUCED, READ THE FIRST TIME, READ BY
TITLE ONLY THE SECOND AND THIRD TIMES AND
PASSED ON ALL THREE READINGS AT THE MEETING
OF THE CITY COMMISSION HELD ON JULY 15, 1964;
AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION OF THIS
ORDINANCE OF INTENTION TO ANNEX SAID LANDS
TO THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA; AND PROVIDING
THAT ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED TO THE EX-
TENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING THAT
THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE AS OF
ITS PASSAGE AND ADOPTION, ON THIRD READING.
WHEREAS, Chapter 171. 04, Florida Statutes, 1963, provides for the
procedure for annexing unincorporated lands contiguous to a municipality by

the enactment of an ordinance declaring its intention and the publication of
said ordinance, and the subsequent enactment of an ordinance of annexation
to accomplish the annexation of such lands; and
I
WHEREAS, the tract of land sought to be annexed contains less than
ten (10) registered electors; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Dania, Florida, deems
it in the best interest of those concerned to annex said lands to the City of

Dania, Florida; and
WHEREAS, it is the unanimous wish of the City Commissioners present
that this ordinance be passed on all three readings at the meeting of the City
Commission held on July 15, 1964.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Commission of the City of Dania, Florida, f
wishing to annex the lands hereinafter described, which lands are presently

unincorporated and contiguous to the City of Dania, Florida, and containing
less than ten (10) registered electors, does herein declare its intention to
annex the following described land, to wit,
(See description attached hereto as Exhibit "A"
and made a part hereof by reference. )
as the expiration of thirty (30) days from the approval of this ordinance.
Section 2. That notice of the intention of the City of Dania, Florida,
� to annex said lands be published once a week for four (4) consecutive weeks
in accordance with law in a newspaper of general circulation in Broward
County, Florida, by the publication in full of this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

Section 4. That by unanimous consent of all Commissioners present,
this ordinance is introduced and read the first time and read by title only the
3 second and third times and passed on all three readings at the meeting of the
.. City Commission of City of Dania, Florida, held on July 15, 1964.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on First Reading this 15th day of July, 1964.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on Second Reading this 15th day of July, 1964.
