AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, AMENDING
SECTION 17-30, CODE OF ORDINANCES,CITY
OF DANIA, FLORIDA. CONCERNING THE SALE
AT RETAIL OF INTOXICATING BEVERAGES
WITHIN THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, ON
ELECTION DAYS; AND PROVIDING BY UNANIMOUS
CONSENT OF THE COMMISSIONERS PRESENT
THAT THE ORDINANCE HEREIN BE INTRODUCED
READ THE FIRST TIME, READ BY TITLE ONLY
THE SECOND AND THIRD TIME, AND PASSED
ON ALL THREE READINGS AT THE SAME MEET-
ING; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE;
AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF

DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Section 17-30, Code of Ordinances, City of Dania,
Florida, be and the same is hereby amended to read, after amendment, as

follows:

Sec. 17-30. Same -- Election days.
All bar rooms, saloons, cocktail lounges, and
other places for the sale of intoxicating beverages
at retail within the city shall be closed during
the hours the polls are open on any municipal,
general, or special election day wherein candidates i
for public office or public offices are elected.
However, bar rooms, saloons, cocktail
I lounges, and other places for the sale of
intoxicating beverages at retail within the city
shall not be required to close during the hours j
the polls are open in any initiative or referendum
election wherein election of candidates to public
office or public offices is not involved.
Section 2. By unanimous consent of all City Commissioners,
this ordinance has been introduced, read the first time, read by title only
the second and third times, and passed on all three readings at the same
meeting,

Section 3, This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
passage and adoption on third reading.

J Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict E

herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

PASSED AND ADOPTED on First Reading this 13th day of
February, 1964.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on Second Reading this 13th day of
