ORDINANCE NO. 2
A\1 ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PROPER OFFICIALS
OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, TO EXECUTE A
QUIT CLAIM DEED TO STATE OF FLORIDA, FOR AND
ON BEHALF OF STATE ROAD DEPARTMENT, CONVEY-
ING CERTAIN LOTS, PARCELS AND TRACTS OF LAND
DESCRIBED HEREIN, NECESSARY FOR THE CONSTRUC-
TION OF SHERIDAN STREET AND SHERIDAN STREET
BRIDGE; AND DECLARING THIS TO BE AN EMERGENCY
ORDINANCE AND DISPENSING WITH READINGS ON
SUCCESSIVE DAYS AND PROVIDING THAT BY UNANI-
MOUS CONSENT OF COMMISSIONERS PRESENT THE
ORDINANCE IS DEEMED TO BE INTRODUCED, READ
THE FIRST TIME, READ BY TITLE ONLY THE SECOND
AND THIRD TIMES, AND PASSED ON ALL THREE READ-
INGS AT THE SAME MEETING; AND PROVIDING THAT
ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CON-
FLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED TO THE EXTENT OF
SUCH CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDI-
NANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE AS OF ITS PASSAGE
AND ADOPTION ON THIRD READING.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Dania, Florida,
has acquired and is acquiring by deed, conveyance, gift, purchase and condem-
nation parcels and lots of land for the construction of Sheridan Street and the

Sheridan Street bridge; and
WHEREAS, the State Road Department has requested that said
properties be conveyed to the State of Florida for the use and benefit of State
Road Department in connection with the construction of Sheridan Street and
the Sheridan Street bridge.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COM-
MISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section L. That the proper officials of the City of Dania, Florida,
be, and they are hereby authorized to convey to the State of Florida for the
benefit of the State Road Department certain lots, parcels and tracts of land
described herein, which are necessary for the construction of Sheridan Street
and the Sheridan Street bridge in the City of Dania, Florida, to wit,
(A) That part of the 15 foot alley lying between Lots 3
and 4, Block 3, of ST. TAMES PARK NORTH,
according to the plat thereof as recorded in Plat
Book 3, page 33, of the Public Records of Broward
County, Florida, lying within 53 feet of the South
line of Section 3, Township 51 South, Range 42
j East, Broward County, Florida;

J (B) The South 28 feet of Lots 12, 13 and 14, Block 3,
of ST. JAMES PARK NORTH, according to the
plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 3, page 33,
of the Public Records of Broward County, Florida;
(C) That part of South East Second Avenue lying within
53 feet of the South line of Section 3, Township 51
South, Range 42 East, Broward County, Florida;
said property also described as the South 28 feet of
Lot 15, Block 3, ST. JAMES PARK NORTH, according
to the plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 3, ,page 33,
of the Public Records of Broward County, Florida;
(D) That part of NORTH 15TH AVENUE (now known as
Southeast 4th Avenue) and that part of NORTH 14TH
AVENUE (now known as Southeast 5th Avenue) lying
within 50 feet of the South line of Section 3, Township
51 South, Range 42 East, Broward County, Florida,
dedicated as a Right of Way on the .plat of HAUER
SUBDIVISION, according to the .plat thereof as recorded
in Plat Book 14, page 53, of the Public Records of
Broward County, Florida; and

(E) The North 25 feet of the South 50 feet of HAUER SUB-
DIVISION, according to the plat thereof as recorded in
Plat Book 14, page 53, of the Public Records of Broward
County, Florida; said lands being a part of the SE;
of the SE; of the SE; of Section 3, Township 51 South,
Range 42 East, Broward County, Florida.

Section 2. That because of the urgency of the State Road Depart-
ment in advertising for bids in connection with the Sheridan Street project, this
ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure by all Commissioners present
and is being passed on three (3) readings at the same meeting, and is being read
in full the first time and read by title only the second and third times.
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be, and the same is hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall become effective as of its
passage and adoption on third reading.
