AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT NO BUILDING PERMIT
SHALL BE ISSUED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVE -
MENTS OTHER THAN AGRICULTURAL BUILDINGS ON LANDS
WITHIN THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, WHICH HAVE NOT
BEEN SUBDIVIDED INTO LOTS AND BLOCKS IN ACCORDANCE
WITH A PLAT RECORDED IN THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF
BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA: AND PROVIDING EXCEPTIONS
TO THE ORDINANCE MAY BE MADE IN THE CASE OF HARD-
SHIP IF THE APPLICANT APPLIES FOR AN EXCEPTION
.AND/OR VARIANCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH EXISTING ORDI-
NANCES OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, AND IN ACCORD-
ANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY
OF DANIA, FLORIDA. AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR
PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
WHEREAS, owners of unsubdivided lands adjacent to subdivisions
within the city limits of the City of Dania, Florida, have heretofore obtained
permits for the construction of improvements on said lands; and
WHEREAS, the issuance of said permits and the construction of
improvements permitted by said permits have interfered with the over-all
development of the City of Dania., Florida, in that said improvements often
prohibit the extension of adjacent alleys and streets, and often made it
impossible to provide for a uniform program of alley improvements within
the general neighborhood adjacent to the improvements permitted by said
permits; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Dania, Florida, deems
it for the best interests of the public to prohibit construction of improvements
other than agricultural improvements on unsubdivided lands within the city
limits of the City of Dania, Florida;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That no building permits for the construction of improve-
ments other than the construction of farm or agricultural buildings shall be

issued if the said improvements other than farm or agricultural improve-
ments are to be constructed on lands within the City of Dania, Florida,
which have not been subdivided into lots and blocks in accordance with a
plat of record in the public records of Broward County, Florida.
Section �. That any applicant for a building permit to construct
improvements other than farm or agricultural improvements on unsubdivided
lands within the City of Dania Florida, who may feel aggrieved by reason
of hardship because of the provisions of this ordinance, may apply for
an exception and/or variance in accordance with the charter and ordinances
of the City of Dania, Florida.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
