AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 27-3 SUB-
SECTION (a), CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF
DANIA, FLORIDA, TO PROVIDE A NEW SCHEDULE
OF RATES AND CHARGES FOR WATER SERVICES
BY THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA.

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Dania, Florida

� has considered the existing schedule of water rates for water service
furnished by the City of Dania, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it for the best interest

j of the City of Dania, Florida, to amend the existing schedule of water
t
rates and charges to be made by the City of Dania for water supplied by
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COM-
NOSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA:

Section 1. Section 27-3, subsection (a), of the Code of Ordi-
nances of the City of Dania, Florida, be and is hereby amended to read

as follows after amendment:
Rf "Section 27-3. Rates and charges.
j "(a) Enumerated. The water rates and charges to be made
by the city for water supplied by it, shall be as follows:

1 "(1) A minimum charge of $2.00 shall be made against
any connected service for each month's service connection,
which charge shall cover all water used by the consumer
up to 4,000 gallons. The minimum charge of $2. 00 shall be
made for any period less than a month as well.
11(2) All water over 4,000 gallons and up to 25, 000 gallons
used by the consumer in any one-month period shall be charged
and paid for at the rate of 28V per 1, 000 gallons for each
additional 1, 000 gallons used. An additional charge shall be
made at the rate of 20V per 1, 000 gallons for all water used
in excess of 25, 000 gallons. "

I Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

j Section 3. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
