ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT SUBDIVIDERS
SHALL INSTALL WATER LINES IN NEW SUB-
DIVISIONS BEFORE BEING PERMITTED TO TAP
WATER LINES OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA,
FOR WATER SERVICE, AND PROVIDING THE
CONDITIONS TO BE MET BY SAID SUBDIVIDERS
BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO TAP WATER LINES
OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the Water Department of the City of Dania and/or the
City of Dania has previously entered into agreements with subdividers and
developers of new subdivisions in the City of Dania, Florida, wherein the
City of Dania undertook to install water lines to said subdivisions; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Dania, Florida, deems
it for the best interests of the City that said practice be abandoned so that
developers and subdividers of new subdivisions shall have the responsibility
of installing water lines to properties developed by them;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the only obligation of the City of Dania, Florida, with
respect to installing water lines in proposed new subdivisions in the City of
_•_ ' Dania, Florida, shall be to supply and install water lines of 4" diameter or
larger to a point along the property line of new subdivisions, with the City
Engineer of the City of Dania, Florida, being the duly authorized agent of the
City of Dania to select said point.
Section 2. That the developers or subdividers of a new subdivision
shall at his expense supply all lines and valves which shall be tapped for
metered h04se connections from said point selected by the City Engineer as
the point to which the City of Dania shall supply and install water lines of 4"
diameter or larger.

Section 3. That before the subdivider shall be permitted to tap water
lines installed by the City of Dania, the subdivider shall submit to the City
Engineer for his approval a tentative plat, which shall show a piping diagram
indicating the location of the valves and water lines to be installed in the
subdivision by the subdivider.
Section 4. Further, that before the subdivider shall be permitted to
tap water lines of the City of Dania, he shall furnish to the City Engineer a
contract with a licensed plumber,which said contract shall contain the terms
and specifications of the water lines to be furnished by the subdivider.
Section 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances, or resolutions or
parts of resolutions, in conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby re-
pealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 6. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect immedi-
ately upon its passage and adoption.
