ORDINANCE NO.'a"
AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING THE REMOVAL
BY THE OWNERS OF NON-CONFORMING
SIGNS AND BILLBOARDS AFTER ,TUNE 6, 1958.
WHEREAS, there are certain signs and billboards in exist-
ence in the City of Dania, Florida, which said signs and billboards are
located in areas zoned against the existence of signs and billboards; and
WHEREAS the City of Dania, Florida, deems it for the
best interest of the City of Dania, Florida, to determine a future date

by which time all of the aforesaid signs and billboards should be removed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COM-
MISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. All non-conforming signs and billboards in the

City of Dania shall be removed at the expense of the owner or lessee of
the real estate on which said signs and billboards are located, or at the
expense of the owner of such signs and billboards, on or before June 6,
1958. The City of Dania reserves the right to remove any such sign or
billboard if the owner thereof fails to comply with this requirement for
removal on or before June 6, 1958, and the City of Dania is hereby vested
with authority to appropriate the materials obtained from such signs and

billboards and to credit the value thereof to the owner against the cost of
such removal.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect
• immediately upon its passage and adoption.
