AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DANIA RELATING
TO BUILDINGS BY ADDING A NEW PARAGRAPH TO BE
IDENTIFIED AS PARAGRAPH (e) TO SECTION 4 OF
i CHAPTER 7 TO ALTER AND MODIFY SECTION 7, PARA-
GRAPH (a) OF THE HOLLYWOOD BUILDING CODE TO
PROVIDE THAT ANY PERSON DESIRING A BUILDING
PERMIT SHALL PAY TO THE CITY OF HOLLYWOOD
BEFORE SUCH PERMIT IS ISSUED, A FEE FOR EACH
PERMIT AS FOLLOWS: EACH PERMIT - TWO DOL-
LARS PER THOUSAND OR FRACTION THEREOF OF
THE ESTIMATED COSTS OF CONSTRUCTION UP TO
AND INCLUDING TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS,
PLUS SEVENTY-FIVE CENTS PER ONE THOUSAND
DOLLARS OF THE ESTIMATED COSTS FOR OR OVER
TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS.

WHEREAS, Section Four of Chapter Seven of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Dania adopts the Building Code of the City of Hollywood, Broward
County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, Section 7, paragraph (a) of the Building Code of the
City of Hollywood provides for certain fees to be paid by applicants for building
permits, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Dania, desires to
change Section 7, Paragraph (a), of the Building Code of the City of Holly-
wood, insofar as said code is applicable in the City of Dania, for the purpose

of changing the scale of fees to be paid by applicants for building permits;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Dania, Florida, relating to buildings, be and is hereby amended by adding
a new paragraph, to be identified as paragraph (e), to Section 4 to read as
follows:

"Paragraph (e). Paragraph (a) of Section 7 of the
Building Code of the City of Hollywood is amended
to read as follows:

"Any person desiring a permit shall, in addition
to filing an application therefor pay to the City of Holly-
wood, before such permit is issued, a fee as required
in this Section as follows: Each permit - Two dollars
per Thousand or fraction thereof of the estimated costs
of construction up to and including Two Hundred Thou-
sand Dollars, plus Seventy-five cents per One Thousand
Dollars of the estimated costs for or over Two Hundred
Thousand Dollars. "
Section 2: That the provisions of this section of the Code shall
be cumulative with similar existing provisions and shall not repeal any other

provision of this code unless the same be in direct conflict with the provisions
hereof.
Section 3: All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
Section 4: This ordinance shall be in force and take effect imme-
diately upon its passage and adoption.
