ORDINANCE NO. 35J.
AN ORDINANCE DELCARING THAT AN EMERGENCY
EXISTS BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF ZONING OF
THE LANDS RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE NORTHERN
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF DANIA BY THE 1955 SESSION
OF THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA;
REFERRING TO SAID LANDS AS NORTH DANIA; DE-
CLARING THAT IT IS FOR 7HE BEST INTERESTS
OF THE CITY OF DANIA THAT SAID RECENTLY
ACQUIRED LANDS BE ZONED IMMEDIATELY; AND
ADOPTING A ZONE MAP OF NORTH DANIA AS
BEING EFFECTIVE AND DEFDTfNG THE ZONING
USES OF SAID RECENTLY ACQUIRED LANDS WHICH
ARE REFERRED TO AS NORTH DANIA.
WHEREAS, by legislation enacted by the 1955 session of the
Legislature of the State of Florida, certain lands referred to herein as
NORTH DANIA were added to the City of Dania so that the northern limits
of the City of Dania were extended and enlarged to include said lands; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed that an emergency exists in that said
lands referred to herein as NORTH DANIA are unzoned and further, it is
deemed necessary and desirable for the best interests of the City ofDania
that said lands referred to herein as NORTH DANIA be zoned immediately
and in accordance with the uses defined in Chapter 28, Code of Ordinances,
j City of Dania, Florida, and
WHEREAS, a certain zone map of said NORTH DANIA has been
prepared and is on file at the City Hall, City of Dania, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Dania desires to
adopt said zone map of NORTH DANIA until such time as the City Commission
can give further study to the zoning requirements of NORTH DANIA,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section : An emergency exists because of the lack of zoning in
all lands annexed to the northern limits of the City of Dania by the 1955

legislation of the Legislature of the State of Florida,
Section 2: That all lands annexed to the northern boundary or
northern limits of the City of Dania by the 1955 session of the Legislature
of the State of Florida are referred to herein as NORTH DANIA.
Section3: That the zone map of NORTH DANIA which has been
prepared by A. F. Pimental and which is on file at the City Hall, City of
Dania, is hereby declared to be in full force and effect and is hereby
adopted as setting forth and defining the zoning districts and uses of
NORTH DANIA.
Section 4: That the aforesaid zone map of NORTH DANIA and
the symbols or designations contained thereon shall be interpreted in
accordance with the symbols, designations, and uses which are defined in
Chapter 28, Code of Ordinances, City of Dania, Florida.
Section 5: That the said zone map of NORTH DANIA shall be
effective until such timeas it:is formally adopted and approved as the
official zone map of the area referred to herein as NORTH DANIA by
the Planning and Zoning Board of the City of Dania and by the City (Commission
of the City of Dania or until such time as it is changed, after proper study, -
by ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Dania.
Section 6: That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon its passage and adoption and that all ordinances or parts
of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to
the extent of such conflict.
Section 7: By unanimous consent of all the commissioners present,

this ordinance has been introduced and read for the first time and read for
the second time and third time; and passed on all three readings at this
meeting o° the City Commission of the City of Dania, Florida, and has
been passed by a unanimous vote of all the commissioners present at I
this meeting.
