AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THAT AN EMERGENCY
EXISTS BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF RIGHT OF WAY
OR SET BACK REQUIREMENTS ALONG THAT PART
OF FEDERAL HIGHWAY LYING WITHIN THE AREA
RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF DANIA BY
THE 1955 SESSION OF THE LEGLSLATURE OF THE
STATE OF FLORIDA; AND REFERRING TO SAID
AREA AS NORTH DANIA; AND PROVIDING THAT
SET BACK REQUIREMENTS FOR STREET WIDENING
PURPOSES ALONG FEDERAL HIGHWAY LYING
WITHIN NORTH DANIA SHALL BE 100 FEET.
WHEREAS, by legislation enacted by the 1955 session of the
Legislature of the State of Florida, certain lands referred to herein
as NORTH DANIA were annexed to the northern city limits of the City
of Dania; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed that an emergency exists in that there
are now no set back requirements for that part of Federal Highway which
lies within the area recently annexed to the City of Dania and which is
referred to as NORTH DANIA and further, it is deemed necessary and for
4 the best interests of the City of Dania that there shall be a right of way or
set-back along that part of Federal Highway lying within NORTH DANIA, said
right of way or set-back to be 50 feet from each side of the center of the
existing road way,
NOW} THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section 1: An emergency exists because of the lack of set back
• requirements or a right of way along that part of the Federal Highway lying
within the area recently annexed to the City of Dania by the 1955 session
of the Legislature of the State of Florida, said area being referred to herein
as NORTH DANIA.

i Section 2: That the right of way of Federal Highway along that
part of Federal Highway lying within the area referred to herein as NORTH I

DANIA shall be 50 feet from each side of the center of the existing road way.
Section 3: That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
Section 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict

j herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
Section 5: By unanimous consent of all the commissioners present,
this ordinance has been introduced and read for the first time and read for
the second time and third time; and passed on all three readings at this
meeting of the City Commission of the City of Dania, Florida, and has been
passed by a unanimous vote of all the commissioners present at this meeting.
