ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING AND REGULATING
BUILDING SETBACKS ALONG SHERIDAN STREET
FROM FEDERAL HIGHWAY (U. S. NO. 1), EAST TO
THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF DANIA,
FLORIDA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That a building setback be and the same is hereby
defined as the minimum distance between the centerline of a given street
and the front line or side line of a building, excluding steps, terraces and
overhead balconies.
Section 2: That no building or other improvement of a perma-
nent nature shall be erected upon or on any building setback area.
Section 3: That a building setback be and the same is hereby
prescribed and imposed upon the following described land:
Begin at the intersection of the centerline of Federal
Highway (U. S. No. 1) and Sheridan Street, as same
appears in the official plats recorded in the public re-
cords of Broward County, Florida; thence in a East-
erly direction along the centerline of said Sheridan
Street and at the termination of said Sheridan Street,
along a line formed by extending the centerline of the
said Sheridan Street in an Easterly direction, to the
East corporate boundary of the City of Dania as same
now exists; thence North a distance of Seventy (70)
feet; thence Westerly parallel to the aforesaid East/
(lest Line, to the centerline of the said Federal High-
way (U. S. No. 1); thence South a distance of Seventy
(70) feet to the point of beginning.
Section 4: All ordinances or resolutions, or parts of ordinances
or resolutions, in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
Section 5: This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
