ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING TIW CITY OF DANIA
BY IT'S MAYOR, CITY MANAGER AND CITY CLERK
TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE THAT CERTAIN CON-
TRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF DANIA AND HOLLYWOOD,
INC. , A FLORIDA CORPORATION, COPY OF WHICH IS
IS ANNEXED HERETO; AND TO EXECUTE ALL INSTRU-
P NTS THAT MAY BE NECESSARY IN ORDER TO CARRY
OUT THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS THEREOF; AND TO
ACQUIRE CERTAIN PROPERTY MORE FULLY DESCRIBED
THEREIN FROM TIE TRUSTEES OF THE INTERNAL
IMPROVEMENT FUND OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA; AND
TO ACQUIRE CERTAIN PROPERTIES MORE FULLY DE-
SCRIBED THEREIN, FRONTING ON THE ATLANTIC
OCEAN, FROM CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS; AND TO CONVEY
BY APPROPRIATE DEED CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE
AFORESAID PROPERTY ACQUIRED FROM THE TRUSTEES
OF THE INTERNAL IMPROVEMENT FUND OF TFTE STATE
OF FLORIDA IN EXCHANGE FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY
TO BE ACQUIRED FROM CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS, ALL
OF WHICH MORE FULLY APPEARS IN THE ANNEXED
CONTRACT.

WHEREAS, it is deemed desirable that the City of
Dania acquire certain additional lands along the Atlantic Ocean,
contiguous to and North of the present public park and bathing
beach, to be used for similar purposes; and
WHEREAS, in order to acquire said additional pro-
perty it is necessary to purchase certain property from the
Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of Florida
and it is also necessary to purchase certain property from cer-
tain individuals; and
WHEREAS, in order to carry out said purposes it is
further necessary to enter into a certain contract with Hollywood,
Inc . , a Florida corporation, copy of which is annexed hereto,
now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CODMISSION OF THE CITY OF
DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That the Mayor, City Manager and City
Clerk for and in behalf of the City of Dania are hereby directed
and authorized to enter into and execute that certain Contract
with Hollywood, Inc . a Florida corporation, copy of which is
annexed hereto.

Section 2: That the proper officers and officials
of the City of Dania be and they are hereby directed and authorized
to execute all instruments provided for in said contract that may
be necessary in order for the City of Dania to carry out the terms
and conditions thereof .
Section 3: That the City of Dania be and it is
hereby authorized to acquire certain real. property from the
Trustees of the Internal improvement Fund of the State of Florida
which said real property is more particularly described in the
annexed contract.
Section 4: That the City of Dania be and it is here-
by authorized to acquire certain additional real property fronting
on the Atlantic Ocean from Hollywood, Inc . , a Florida corporation,
and others, which is more particularly set forth in the annexed
contract .
Section 5: That the proper officials and officers
of the City of Dania be and they are hereby authorized to convey

a portion of the property acquired by the City of Dania from the
Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of Florida
-_ to Hollywood, Inc . , a Florida corporation in exchange for certain
property to be acquired from said Hollywood, Inc , a Florida cor-
poration and others, all as is more particularly set forth in the
annexed contract, and the property to be conveyed by City of
Dania to Hollywood, Inc. is hereby declared and determined not to
be necessary for any public use of the City of Dania.
Section 6: This ordinance shall be in force and
take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
Section 7: All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the
extent of such conflict.

Section 8: By unanimous consent of all. the commis-
sioners present, this ordinance has been introduced and read
for the first time and read for the second and third time; and I

passed on all three readings at this meeting of the City Commis-
sion of the City of Dania, Florida; and has been passed by a
j unanimous vote of all the commissioners present at this meeting.
