OF DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That it shall be .inlawful for any person_
to dig a borrow pit, rock pit, fill pit, or make any other ex-
cavation within the corporate limits of the City* of. Dania,

Florida, until such person shell have first obtained permission
i
from the City Commission of said City so to do, and, until such
" person shall have posted a rood and adequate surety bond, pay-
able to the City of Dania, Florida, in the airount of ono and
one-half times the value of the removed fill, to guarantee that
said pit or excavation shall be refilled and -raded within a
reasonable time to be determined by said City Commission in

its discretion.
Section 2: The word "person" as used herein shall

be construed to extend and apply to associations, firms,
i
partnerships, and bodies politic and corporate, as well as to
individuals; and a word importing the sin ular number only may
i
extend and be applied to several persons and things as well as
to one person and thing.
Section 3 : This ordinance shall not be construed as
i
a;)plying to a person w�io zaalces necessary excavations for the
sole purpose of landsca�lin� and beautifyin,- pis property.
i
Section h : It shall be the duty of the Building In-
soector and the Police Department of the City of Dania, Florida,
to strictly enforce all the provisions of this ordinance.

Section 5: Any person wno violates the provisions of
this ordinance, or assists in any violation of this ordinance, I
shall, for each and every violation, upon conviction, be
'i
punished by a fine not exceedin- w500.00, or by iruprisonment
not exceeding 60 days, or by both fine and imprisomitent, in
t? the discretion of the Municipal Judge. Each day that a vio-
lation exists after written notice to the violator, shall
constitute a separate offense.
Section 6: This ordinance shall be in force and

take effect immediately upon its passae and adoption.
Section 7: All ordinances or narts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the sane are hereby repealed to the
�I extent of such conflict.
