WHEREAS casuarina trees (better known as
australian pine trees) which have heretofore been planted
within the limits of the City of Dania, due to the
nature of such trees and the wide spread of the roots
thereof have caused damage to sidewalks and streets and
p � other property within the limits of the City of Dania,

and;
1JHEREAS from the nature of said trees the roots /
thereof spread to a large area and cause the breaking
and also damage water and sewer
of sidewalks and streets

main pipes and drains within the City of Dania, and
cause an unsafe condition dangerous to the health, welfare

and safety of the residents of the City of Dania, now,
therefore;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THECITY COMr"ISSIOI� OF TF CITY
OF DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section That from the date of the passage
ordinance no parson , firm or corp
and adoption of this

shall plant or cause to be planted anywhere within the
s, limits of the City of Dania any casuarina trees (butter
known as australian pine trees) .
Sect_ Any person, firm or corporation
who shall be found guilty of a violation of the terms
and provisions hereof before the Judge of the tTunicipal
Court shall ,, upon such conviction, be subject to a fine

by imprisonment not to exceed ten (10) days or by both

such fine and imprisonment within the discretion of the
Municipal Judge -
section 3: This Ordinance shall be in force and
take effect iimnediately upon its passage andadoption .
Section 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
j conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the ex-
tent of such conflict .
section 5: By unanimous consent of all the commis-
stoners present, this ordinance has been introduced and read
for the first time and read for the second and third time ; and
passed on all three readings at this meeting of the City Commis-
] Sion of the City of Dania, Florida; and has been passed by a un-
animous vote of all the commissioners present at this meeting .
