AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 105, AiVD
ORDINANCES AMEIMATORY THERETO REGULATING
CONSTRUCTION, ERECTION, AND II INTENANCE OF
SIGNS, BILLBOARDS, DISPLAY BOARDS, AND OTHER
23THODS OF DISPLAY ADVERTISING OR OTHERWISE,
WITHIN THE CITY OF DANIA, BY LIMITING THE
SIZE AND TYPE OF PRICE SIGNS DISPLAYED BY
GASOLINE SERVICE STATIONS WITHIN THE CITY OF
DANIA, FLORIDA; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE
VIOLATION THEREOF; AND PROVIDING FOR TIM
READING AND PASSAGE OF' THIS ORDINANCE AS AN
EMERGENCY MEASURE UPON ONE MEETING OF TIC
CITY COAHIItjSSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, BY A
UNANIMOUS CONSENT OF THE IMVIBERS PRESENT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CObIllISSION OF THE CITY
OF DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That Ordinance No. 105 of the City of
Dania, Florida, passed and adopted on the 8th day of December,
A. D., 1937, regulating construction, erection and maintenance
of signs, billboards, display boards and other methods of dis-
playing advertising within the City limits of the City of
Dania, Florida, and, Ordinance No. 179 of the City of Dania,
Florida
passed and adopted on the 27th day of January, A. D.,
1947, which is an amendment to the aforesaid Ordinance No. 105,

limiting the size of ground signs South of the Dania Cutoff
Canal and further providing set-backs for all ground signs
within the City limits of the City of Dania, Florida, be and
the same are hereby amended as herein provided. `
1 Section 2: That all signs displaying g the price or
prices of gasoline located upon the premises of all gasoline
I
service stations within the City limits of the City of Dania,
and all signs alluding to the price thereof shall be prohibited,
except, that the display of price or prices of gasoline shall

be permitted upon each gasoline pump meter only, the size of
the letters and nfiimbers not to exceed three inches in height.

Section
i _,L Any person, firm or corporation violating
any of the provisions of this ordinance shall upon conviction,
{ be punished by a fine not exceeding One Hundred Dollars (� 100.00),
or by imprisonment for a period of not exceeding thirty (30)

days, or by both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion
of the Municipal Judge. Each violation hereof shall be deemed
! to be a distinct and separate offense.
Section 4: This ordinance shall be in force and take
1 effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.

Section 5: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in yam'
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealedtitythe
extent of such conflict.
Section 6: By unanimous consent of all the commis-
sioners present, this ordinance has been introduced and read
for first time and read for the second and third time; and
passed on all three readings at this meeting of the City Com-
mission of the City of Dania, Florida; and has been passed by
a unanimous vote of all of the commissioners present at this
meeting.
