ORDINANCE NO. 174
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA,
RATIFYING AND AFFIRMING THE APPROVAL OF THE
PLAT OF DANIA HIGHLANDS , SAME BEING A SUB-
DIVISION OF ALL OF BLOCK 6 , 7 AND 12 , OF THE
AMENDED PLAT-PART OF HOLLYWOOD CENTER, AS RE-
CORDED IN PLAT BOOK 16, PAGE 31 , OF THE PUBLIC
RECORDS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND THE
j SOUTH ONE-HALF (S-) OF BLOCK 8 , OF AMENDED
PLAT OF HOLLYWOOD CENTER AS RECORDED IN PLAT
BOOK 9 , PAGE 43, OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF
BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, SAID LANDS SITUATE,
LYING AND BEING IN THE CITY OF DANIA, BROWARD
COUNTY, FLORIDA; AND ACCEPTING THE DEDICATION
OF PUBLIC USE OF ALL STREETS , HIGHWAYS AND ALLEYS
i AS SHOWN ON SAID PLAT OF SAID DANIA HIGHLANDS ;
AND PROVIDING THAT ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES AND ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOL-
UTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED TO THE
EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS , The Plat of DANIA HIGHLANDS was approved by the City
i
Commission of the City of Dania, Florida, on September 16, 1975 , by

motion only; and
4 WHEREAS , The City Charter and Code of Ordinances as well as
i

the Statutes of the State of Florida require that such approval must
be done by means of a duly advertised and adopted City Ordinance ; and

WHEREAS , The City Commission of the City of Dania desires to
correct this error or omission and ratify and affirm the said action
i
,. taken on September 16 , 1975 . '
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA:
I Section 1 . That the action of the City Commission of the City
of Dania at its regular meeting held on September 16 , 1975 approving
i
the plat of DANIA HIGHLANDS is hereby ratified and affirmed.
Section 2. That the plat of DANIA HIGHLANDS , same being a sub-
division of all of Blocks 6,
7 and 12 of the AMENDED PLAT-PART OF
HOLLYWOOD CENTER, as recorded in Plat Book 16 , page 31 , of the Public
j Records of Broward County, Florida, and the South one-half (SZ) of Block '

8, of AMENDED PLAT OF HOLLYWOOD CENTER as recorded in Plat Book 9 , page

43, of the Public Records of Broward County, Florida, said lands
1
j situate, lying and being in the City of Dania, Broward County, Florida,
as approved by motion only on September 16 , 1975, is hereby accepted
and approved. With respect thereto , City of Dania consents and agrees
i
that such plat may be recorded in the Public Records of Broward County,
i
Florida, upon further approval by all agencies of Broward County,
i
Florida, having jurisdiction in the matter.
Section 2 . That the dedication for public use of all streets ,
i'
highways and alleys , as shown on said plat of said DANIA HIGHLANDS , is
hereby accepted by the City of Dania, Florida.
i
Section 3 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances and all
i
resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the
same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in force and take
i
effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.

PASSED and ADOPTED on First Reading on the 23rd day of
May 1978.

PASSED and ADOPTED on Second and Final Reading on the 13th
day of June 1978 . 7
