HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-1990-036 I R i i ORDINANCE NO. 36-90 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA AMENDING SECTION 27-38 OF ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 27 OF THE 1980 CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, ENTITLED: "RATES AND CHARGES FOR SERVICE" TO PROVIDE INCREASES IN THE RATES AND CHARGES FOR WATER SERVICE; AND PROVIDING THAT EXCEPT AS HEREIN AMENDED ALL OTHER PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 27, ARTICLE II OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DANIA SHALL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT; AND PROVIDING THAT ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES AND ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING THAT THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE AS OF THE OCTOBER 1 , 1990 BILLING DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CIT1 COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA: SECTION 1 . That Section 27-38 ( 1 ) of Article II of Chapter 27 of the 1980 Code of Ordinances of the City of Dania, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: ( 1 ) Residential users. A base charge of Four dollars and thirty-three cents ( $4. 33) per month shall be applied to all single-family residences , each living unit in cooperative and condominium usages, duplex and triplex structures, and each unit in mobile home parks for water supplied to each of such units for said monthly period . In addition, a charge for each thousand ( 1 ,000 ) gallons of water used by each of such units for said monthly period will be made according to the following schedule : $1 . 22 for each 1 , 000 gallons used from 0 to 8 , 500 gallons $1 . 53 for each 1 , 000 gallons used from 8 , 501 to 13, 500 gallons. $1 .83 for each 1 ,000 gallons used over 13 , 500. SECTION 2 . That Section 27-33 ( 2 ) of Article II of Chapter 27 of the 1980 code of Ordinances of the City of Dania, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Ordinance No. 36-90 s' 1 . However, when the owner of Property requests that a meter be removed from the premises, t billing will be discontinued until such time as the owner requests that the meter be reinstalled and service continued. A charge of one hundred dollars ( $100. 00) will be assessed for the reinstallation . t SECTION 3 : That Section 27-38 ( 3 ) of Article II of Chapter 27 of the 1980 Code of Ordinances of the City of Dania, Florida , be and the same is hereby repealed . 4 = SECTION 4 . That except as herein amended, all other provisions of said chapter 27 of the said Code of Ordinances } of the City of Dania , Florida, shall remain in full force and effect. I SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances and all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 6.
