Home My WebLink AboutO-1989-012 1 • ` { ORDINANCE NO. 12-89 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 18-1 OF ARTICLE I OF CHAPTER j 18 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, TO INCLUDE GROUP LIFE i INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR RETIRED OFFICIALS AND t EMPLOYEES AS WELL AS MEDICAL AND HOSPITALIZATION INSURANCE COVERAGE PROVIDED 1 THAT SUCH OFFICIAL OR EMPLOYEE SHALL PAY THE ENTIRE COST OF THE COVERAGE; PROVIDING THAT ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES AND ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT ; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. I BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA: j i Section 1 . That Section 18-1 of Article I , Chapter 18 of the i Code of Ordinances of the City of Dania, Florida , be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows : "Sec. 18-1. Participation by Retirees in Group Insurance. All retired city officials and employees are authorized to enter into such agreements as are necessary to provide that retired officials and/or employees of the city may participate in the group medical , hospitalization and life insurance plan of the city, provided that the cost of any i such continued participation in any such group insurance plan shall be entirely paid by the retired employee . " Section 2 . That except as herein amended, all other provisions of said Chapter 18 of the Code of Ordinances of the { City of Dania, Florida, shall remain in full force and effect . I Section 3 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances and all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict . Section 4 .
