ORDINANCE NO. 0$-86
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA,
AMENDING SECTION 3 , ARTICLE 1 , PART III, OF
THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA,
PROVIDING FOR EVERY ELECTED OFFICIAL OF THE
CITY OF DANIA FLORIDA, TO TAKE AND SUBSCRIBE
TO AN OATH OR AFFIRMATION TO BE FILED AND
KEPT IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY AUDITOR AND
CLERK; AND PROVIDING THAT ALL ORDINANCES OR
PARTS OF ORDINANCES AND ALL RESOLUTIONS OR
PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE
REPEALED TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA,
i FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Section 3 , Article 1 , Part III , of the
Charter of the City of Dania , Florida , be and the same is
hereby amended to read as follows :
"Sec . 3 . Oath of Office.
Every elected official of the City of Dania ,
Florida, shall, before entering upon the
' duties of his office , take and subscribe to
an oath or affirmation to be filed and kept
in the office of the city auditor and clerk,
which oath shall be in the form prescribed,
as follows :

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I am a
citizen of the United States, and a resident
of the State of Florida , and the City of
Dania, Florida , and have all the qualifica-
tions as required by the charter for the
j office upon which I am about to enter; that
! I will support the Constitution of the United
I States , the Constitution of the State of
Florida, and the laws and ordinances of the
City of Dania; and that I will faithfully
perform the duties of the office upon which
i
I am now about to enter.

Section 2 . That except as herein amended, all other
provisions of said Part III of the City Charter shall remain in
full force and effect .
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances and
all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be
and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in force and take
effect immediately upon its final passage and adoption.
PASSED and ADOPTED on First Reading on the 28th day of
January 1986 .
PASSED and ADOPTED on Second and Final Reading on the 11
day of February 1986.
