ORDINANCE NO. 06-86
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA,
AMENDING SECTION 1, ARTICLE 6 , PART VII , OF
THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA,
DESIGNATING OFFICIALS AUTHORIZED TO SIGN
CHECKS AND WARRANTS FOR THE CITY OF DANIA;
AND PROVIDING FOR FACSIMILE SIGNATURES; AND
PROVIDING THAT ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES AND ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF
RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED
TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
i BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA,
FLORIDA :

Section 1. That Section 1 , Article 6 , Part VII , of the
Charter of the City of Dania, Florida , be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows :
"Sec . 1 . Checks and Warrants .
All checks and warrants for the payment of money
�p shall be signed by the city auditor and clerk or,
in her absence, by the deputy city auditor and
clerk, and countersigned by the city manager, or,

in his absence, countersigned by the mayor. For
a check or warrant that does not exceed the sum of
$1 , 500. 00 , one of the two required signatures may

be a facsimile. During vacations or unusual condi-
tions or emergencies , the city commission may, by

resolution, authorize or designate additional city
officials to countersign all checks and warrants . " +

Section 2 . That except as herein amended, all other provi-
sions of said Part VII of the City Charter shall remain in full
force and effect.
Section 3 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances and
all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be
and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 4 . That this ordinance shall be in force and take
effect immediately upon its final passage and adoption.
