HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-1984-007 i I ORDINANCE N0 . 07-84�— i AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA,AMENDIN ' (2) AND G(3)COF ARTICLE TION (II OFD CHAPTER N277OF8THE 1980 CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, ENTITLED : "RATES AND CHARGES" TO PRO- VIDE INCREASES IN THE RATES AND CHARGES FOR TURN- ONS , RESIDENTIAL USERS , COMMERCIAL, BUSINESS AND I INDUSTRIAL USERS, AND RATES FOR WATER CONSUMED ` IN EXCESS OF STATED MINIMUM; AND PROVIDING THAT EXCEPT AS HEREIN AMENDED ALL OTHER PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 27 ARTICLE II OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DANIA SHALL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT ; AND PROVIDING THAT ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES AND ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED 3 TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT ; AND PROVIDING 7 FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF APRIL 1, 1984 . j BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA: Section 1. That Section 27-33(b) of Article II of Chapter 27 of the 1980 Code of Ordinances of the City of Dania , Florida, I be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows : " (b) Char (afor Shuttin off and Turning on. There shall be no separate c arge ma a or s . utting off the water supply to any premises , but in every instance when such shutoff was originally made for nonpayment of any delinquent account or any other violation of any rule of the Water Department a twenty-five dollar ($25 .00) turn-on charge shall be collected; also in cases where the same person requires a turn-on at a service < where the last cutoff had been in his name a five dollar ($5 .00) turn-on fee shall be collected. " Section 2 . That Section 27-38(1) , (2) and (3) of Article II of Chapter 27 of the 1980 Code of Ordinances of the City of i Dania, Florida , be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows : "Rates and charges to be made by the Water Depart- department to consumer shall ment for water supplied by be made as follows : 1) Residential Users . P. mont y minimum c arge per meter according I J �`fira to size against each meter supplied by a connected service to a commercial, industrial, business , institutional or similar unit , building or complex, and each separate municipal or other governmental agency, building or special type unit shall be levied according to the below schedule , and such charge shall permit the consumption of 2 , 000 gallons per month per meter : 5/8" Meter - $ 3 . 25 1" Meter - $ 10 . 00 I 1?" Meter - $ 24 . 08 i 2" Meter - $ 47 . 82 3" Meter - $109. 90 4" Meter - $189. 55 6" Meter - $435 . 25 The minimum charges listed above shall remain in force so long as the service is connected to the main, whether turned on or off. I 3) Rates for Water Consumed in Excess of Stated Minimum. All users in 1 and 2 above who shall use water in excess of stated minimum shall pay for that excess at the rate of 99 cents per thousand gallons . " Section 3. That except as herein amended, all other provisions of said Chapter 27 of the said Code of Ordinances of the City of Dania , Florida, shall remain in full force and effect. Section 4 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances and all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict . Section 5 . That this ordinance shall be in force and take effect retroactively to April 1 , 1984. PASSED AND ADOPTED on First Reading on this 8th day of Play 1984 .
