ORDINANCE NO . 288 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 15-7 OF CHAPTER 15 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO AMEND THE CONDITIONS THAT MUST BE COMPLIED WITH TO OBTAIN AN OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE FROM THE CITY OF DANIA; AND PROVIDING THAT ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES AND ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING 4 FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE . a BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA: Section 1. That Section 15-7 of Chapter 15 of the Code of f 1 Ordinances of the City of Dania, Florida, entitled, "Application F required; Affidavit . " , be and the same is hereby amended to read i as follows : r "Sec. 15-7 . Application required; affidavit , zoning certificate and certificate of code compliance. ! No license shall be issued or be granted to p j any applicant therefor to engage in the business of selling merchandise at retail or wholesale , or f the practice or pursuit of any profession or r occupation, coming within the category mentioned in this chapter or upon the schedule of licenses as adopted by Section 15-12 unless the applicant shall first comply with the following conditions : j g (a) The applicant shall make an affidavit j f before some officer of the city, authorized to administer oaths , stating: (1) The applicant ' s name. 3 (2) The particular location in the city j where he proposes to commence business . j Where tax is based on area, capacity, t capital invested and surplus , average value of stock carried , number of persons , animals or things employed or engaged , quantity , valuation or other contingency, i the area, capacity, capital invested and surplus , average value of stock carried, i c ' r r � i rYS�? ka�k'.wf _—.. 1r...._. (3) The applicant , when appropriate , must ob- tain from the Building Official a zoning j i certificate certifying that the real property on which the proposed business is to be operated is zoned for the use intended by the applicant-licensee. t (4) Obtain from the Building Official a cer- tificate certifying that the premises on and in which the applicant intends to operate his business has been inspected by the Building Official, or a qualified J j member of his staff , and that such inspection shows that said premises meet all require- ments of the Building Code of the City of Dania, Florida, on the date of the inspection. 4 (b) No license shall be granted until there has been t full compliance with this section and no license granted without full compliance shall be a pro- ; tection to the applicant in any proceeding, civil f or criminal. Section 4 . That this ordinance shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its final passage and adoption.
